On what basis? It's legal, decent, and, in the sense that it's clearly joking, honest and truthful. Don't get me wrong, I hated it as well, though. It's an insult to veggies, implying they are weak-willed. It reminds me of the " Yes, Minister " Christmas special, which include a section on how naff sausages were . -- Ian McDonald http://www.mcdonald.me.uk/
Guest guest
Hi there - new kid in town! >Has anyone seen the billboard for Wall's Sausages? >It has a picture of a sausage and the slogan... " The sausage >vegetarians fear most " . >Well, thats got that off my chest, who thinks we should complain to >the Advertising Standards Authority? I think a complaint is valid: if the sign said " The sausage Jews fear most " [ie cos it's made of pork] they'd get into a lot of trouble, and as we are a group of people who don't consume a particular type of 'food' for our own reasons - moral, ethical or otherwise - I think we have a case! xx Tom _______________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
Guest guest
If it said " The sausage Muslims fear most " it might fare better though. The fact is that Jews are an ethnic group, and ethnic groups get protection that faith groups don't, and religions get protection that other profoundly held beliefs don't . What made me want to swear out loud in the supermarket recently was a advertising sticker for a brand of milk - " So pure, the cows want it back. " Of course they want it back ... they want to feed the calves that were torn from their company and killed for meat! What makes me want to swear out loud is the disgusting cartoon cow that advertises Kellog's cereal & milk bars... You know, the one with the " milk rifle " thing attached to its udders? That is so vile... _______________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
hmmm don't have that ad around these here parts tho, we have luverly commercials from the california dairy council, which talks about " happy cows give happy milk " or some such bullpucky..my " fave " is a cow remembering standing in a blizzard somewhere in the american midwest, and being happier in california, i guess its better to have yer udders stuck in amachine all day in california as opposed to ohio... fraggle " Tom Milburn " <tommilburn wrote: >>What made me want to swear out loud in the supermarket recently was a >>advertising sticker for a brand of milk - " So pure, the cows want it >>back.
