Guest guest
Hmm...almost sounds like a vegan slagging-off. Or, perhaps, I'm just paranoid. What? Wull, my theory is that the " bottle-of-milk-substitute teacher " provides the children's first introduction to milk. Previously, then, never have been exposed, they never did drink milk. Therefore, they are nutritionally deficient. Okay, it's not specifically derogatory toward vegans, but I think that the gist is that milk is essential to brain development. Yea, we all know that THIS is true, don't we? Incidentally, how many on this list were absolutely repulsed by milk when you were children? I can remember wretching when the milk cartons were distributed during grade school. My current favorite US Dairy Council propaganda -- A man dressed as a bottle of milk comes in to be a substitute teacher. He teaches the little children about the wonders of milk; how healthy it is, how much fun it is to dunk cookies in, and look! You can blow bubbles in it! The catch is that the kids are really, really stupid. One boy can't figure out how to properly dunk his cookie, and when asked how many essential nutrients milk has, a voice answers, " Green? " Exactly what is the Dairy Council trying to say here? 'Milk makes you dumb'? I can't figure it out. ;] - Cheryl ..................................... http://www.pickleflick.com/bean http://www.livejournal.com/~ratties AIM: triceratops bean " I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness.
