Homeschooling-actually a favourite idea of mine is educating myself. It won't happen as I've got tangled in the massive web which is GCSEs, AS-levels and A-levels and it's very hard to get out. Guest guest
Yeah, sea salt has iodine, but rock salt doesn't (it's just sodium chloride). This is also why you get iodine from sea veg. I also think we get iodine from vegetables, particularly root crops, because it's in the soil. Apparently there's minimal Iodine in the soil around Derbyshire, hence a high incidence of goitre there in years gone by (50 years or so). Of course all this might have changed since the introduction of artificial fertilisers etc. Jane Fri, 15 Feb 2002 19:03:05 -0500 EBbrewpunx RE: Re: toothless yeah, all our " major " salts come iodized...and my shaker of sea salt sez it contains iodine... its pretty rare to get a goiter in this neck of the woods(get it..neck...goiter..oh, never mind..i didn't even mean it as a pun when i wrote it) thought most salts were iodinized...hmmmm.guess not just like they add flouride to our water i guess fraggle Dr Ian McDonald <ian wrote: >ISTR Americans get iodised salt or something, but Brits don't. Guest guest
Dear Charlie The same seems to be happening to me. I am eating about 12 pieces of fruit a day, and have been eating a lot for around a year, and now some teeth are becoming sensitive. I wonder if it is all the sugar. I'm now making sure I have a drink of water afterwards, etc. I have goen on some dentist sites and they are quite good, you can leave questions. Have you been on the chat yet? There never seems to be anybody on. Ben informed me that it's my age. I hate being a teenager sometimes...everything seems to wind down to age somehow or another!! I haven't tried the chat-probably because I can see there's no one on... Love Charlie xxx
