> what kind of toothpaste you guys use?

I like Vicco, an Indian herbal one. used to be really thick and pasty but

has recently been watered down a little still beats most others and has a

nice chalky - subtle licorice-rooty-spicey flavour rather than killer

spearmint.

a lot of the " healthfood " ones seem to have propolis in which they got

from mugging bees and are quite runny ... ;-( I

[ it must be my number one gripe, after the " eggs are vegetables "

vegetarian one, that " honey - or royal jelly etc - is good for you " . it

may be, but how good it is for the bees? when I think about how many

pointless old bags pump up the market for Joan Collins royal jelly wonder

cures for their sagging wrinkles or PMT, it makes me so sad at humanity.

give me a good hive any day and let's start culling the grannies. ]

sometime, when I run out of toothpaste or need a really good scrub, I will

even use salt which is great too. and very cheap.

Weleda, the biodynamic folk, make a nice salty one as well as an interesting

" plant jelly " one which I like but is expensive. there is room for more

vegan ones on the market. I cant get over how much sweetener supermarket

brands use which is crazy and corrupt.

What's wrong with Green People and Kingfisher??? They're vegan and both are

available in some scrummy flavours. Urtekraam is good, too. Kingfisher's

my personal fave.

O, and for overall dental hygiene, a good floss won't go amiss. I think

that it's singularly the most important thing (apart from brushing) that one

can do for one's oral health. I also use an herbal mouthwash by

Postelthwaite every morning. I don't like halitosis, no I don't. Nice

breath is good.
