I agree with that, why look for an excuse to behave in the same way others

do if that behaviour is what you object to in the first place, was it Gandhi

that said " We must become the change we wish to see " ? Anyway, to throw

another Gandhi quote at you; " If everyone took an eye for an eye the whole

world would be blind " or something to that effect

well my email server doesnt give me the option of including the original

email in my reply. (see bottom of message). and if youre willing to call

me worse names than self-centered and pigheaded without even knowing

me at ALL, maybe you shold re-evaluate a few things about yourself. arent

we supposed to be fighting for the same thing? whats the point fighting

each other? like you said, if i keep arguing back, it just means you

win. so there you have it. not another word for me.

Just like the good' old days on Vegan-L

 

This seems to be turning into a flame war and one of a personal two sided

nature. Perhaps it would be better for the list if those involved took it

to private email.

 

I haven't been on a list like this for many years and I'd hate to sign off

again so soon because of heavy traffic loads of a personal nature.

and i wouldn't say i dont know you at all. quite a lot of a person comes across

that depends. what are you fighting for? i'm fighting for the right for every

person to make their

own choices and not be bullied for it. i also fight for better conditions for

animals, for free

speech, for the right to choose to die, for free education for all, for

diversity and acceptance,

for better health care, for better understanding of mental illnesses, for

equality between genders /

ethnic groups / religions etc, for censorship to be abolished, for free trade,

and many other

things.

not necessarily. i think you interpreted my words wrongly. if you keep

resonding, we might perhaps

both learn something and encourage others to question things. if you shut up and

refuse to talk to

me then how can we ever grow and learn and develop and mature?

Hey Ben,

 

I really don't think this topic of conversion was of a personal nature - I was

hoping people would add their comments, but I guess most thought it a war

between me and Sarah! Honestly, that was not my intention! I really would have

liked to hear others' opinions on the topic... I don't think there were flames.

I mean, Sarah and I have been on this list for a while and everything has been

amicable. Just because we differ on a topic doesn't mean we have declared a war

of words on each other and that anyone who joins would get hurt or somethin'!

Besides, there was the misunderstanding that I tend to convert non-vegans, which

isn't the case.

 

So, whoever wants to add their opinions here but didn't because you thought I'd

snap at you...shoot!
