I found Alan Carr's 'Easy way to give up smoking' quite helpful - I'd given

up for about a week and was give a copy, and although it seems quite

patronising (or American even though the author is English - no offence to

the Yanks on the list but your self help books are mostly

very...erm...dunno, but not good) I found it really helpful - you have to

read big chunks in one go though, cos it's a bit like self hypnosis.

I don't like self-help books for the very reasons you wrote. :) But

maybe i'll try one.

maybe bad religion aren't so punk now, they were when they started

out, they still write good tunes tho
