ah..well, ya missed the days when goth(ok, it was death rock then) punx, skins,

and wot all all hung out together, because it was all one thing..wasn't much of

a difference, and if ya saw someone with an X sticker on their car, ya went " oh,

look, a punk "

:)

then 82-83 hit, and that was that..hahahahhahahahahahaha

no, i remember those days! that whole era was full of goths, punks, skins

etc, tho they don't always get on, especially the skinheads, cos even if

they weren't nazi, they still had a fuckin attitude.

the punk scene in lubbock used to be like that. didnt matter what your

label was, skaters, goths, skins, punks, rudies, hell even emo kids.

but i think thats because deviating from 'normal' in small town texas

is practically unHEARD of. we used to go to shows at this place motor

308, but it closed down quickly after the 'new skool punks' trasdhed

the place and refused to pay to get into local shows to support the scene.

just because the bands suck and youve seen em 200 times before doenst

mean you dont gotta pay! it was the best place, it was all about the

love. didnt matter your age, colour, musical interest it was just about

being there. then blink 182 and their ganglike following had to go and

ruin it all. *sigh*
