hello everyone,

Looking for some advice from those across the pond. I visiting in the summer

for a fortnight, i'm staying in Boston and marthas vineyard. Can anyone give

me advice on wot/where to eat? my dad went recently on work and couldn't

find sufficient veggie food, so i'm getting worried.

Another thing, we are all becoming more and more aware of how consumer items

are produced like nike and gap, but does anyone know of any where to buy,

fashionable fair trade, or just not exploitative clothing? are any of the

high street shops better than most?

thanks for any help on either issue,

anne

did you know that VIVA!USA was protesting/boycotting

trader joes for the sale of factory farmed duck meat?

i think they stopped carrying it, but i thought you

might wanna know. also, texas is country. my parents

have lived there for the past 9 years. they probably

do have factory farms there, im shur they are

everywhere, but its also full of hick farmer towns,

where they treat their cows like their family (and

then kill them and eat them, but thats not the point).

theres also a lot of proactivism in texas. ive met

more vegans in texas than i have so far in the UK. but

anyway, good luck combating that temptation. i always

hate it when people say they 'feel sorry for me'

because i dont eat steak or ice cream or whathaveyou.

yeah, sometimes i pass baskins robbins and wish i

could go in, but then i yell at myself for momentarily

thinking waht those capitalistic assholes with heart

disease and bowel cancer want me to! so just remember,

theyre the ones who have to get their anuses inspected

anually for polyps, and were the vegans =]
