Guest guest
Yes I agree. I just get annoyed that companies with otherwise admirable ethical stances get criticised for not being 100% vegan while a vegan runs a company that sells dairy and everybody thinks it's wonderful. Not a popular viewpoint I know. (ducks) But I just think there's some double think going on here. If somebody is true to their beliefs, even if I think some of their beliefs are wrong, I can trust them. Hopefully I can change their beliefs. Somebody who believes something and sets it aside to make money I cannot respect or trust. I'm quite happy for V1 to be there and make vegans happy, spread the word, give the kids a treat etc but I personally cannot come to terms with a vegan selling dairy. I feel it just as bad as a vegan selling meat just cosmetically more acceptable. Rosanne I think it would be unrealistic to expect businesses to go > wholly vegan outside of London when there are so few of us - I would rather > not see any more of those depressing boarded up windows and pathetic notices > thanking a handful of customers for their support, but I bet in a few years > time we will be able to realistically make the demand for animal free > shopping from more places (I hope so, anyway).
