Guest guest
I has heard that this path, at least on mnay US jeans, was not leather. Cutting or tearing it lets you know for sure that is isn't leather; it seems to be some paper-based material. I live in jeans! > > I always prided myself on being totally vegan - I won't purchase any food, toiletries, cleaning stuff etc with animal content, and I don't wear leather, wool etc. But now I realise there are several pairs of jeans in my wardrobe with little leather patches on them that I didn't even look at. > > *sigh* > > When will this world get the point? You can't just abuse and use as you see fit! It just doesn't work, and does no-one any good (apart from the multi-nationals who are getting fatter and richer day by day). > > Well, for now I'll cut all the patches off myjeans, but I'll have to start looking for a jean-alternative with no leather. If I can't find anything, second-hand will have to do. But the very reason I wear jeans is because I can't wear traditional women's trousers or skirts - I'm nearly 6 ft tall, very long-legged, and nothing is long enough in the women's department (I wear men's jeans). Skirts just look scandalous. Not ideal when you work in a software company with a whole bunch of men! > > Suggestions, anyone? > > Still, thanks to Persistent Dreamer for pointing this out.
