HELP!!!!!!!!1 > > Sara Sara, Keep in mind that dairy products contain puss and blood, as well as hormones. Also remember that all dairy comes from the body fluid of another species. A fluid specially designed to nurture a growing infant of that species, not a human. That should be enough to put anyone off dairy, regardless of how lazy you are. As far as replacing dairy, it just isn't going to happen. You will just have to live without. You can, as mentioned, purchase rice or tofu derived " cheeses " , but they are expensive and do not taste like cheese (a good thing in my book). You have to ask yourself what is more important, gluttony, or a healthy and compassionate lifestyle. For more information on why you should never drink the stinky, puss-filled body fluids of a bovine, check out www.notmilk.com, although it's not the prettiest site around, it has a lot of good information. pol

Guest guest
Hi Emo, go on just do it, go vegan, it makes so much sense, and is far easier than you think, if you have any cravings they soon go. Have you tried listening to the vegan freak pod cast ? it's really good, informative and funny. There is also a vegan freak forum where you could have a vast amount of support, help and encouragement on the road between veggie and vegan. Give it a try, it's a lot easier to do with the support of like minded people. I've been vegan for over 18 years now, and am so glad that I made that step. Once you consider what happens to all the male chicks, and male calves, then drinking cow milk and eating eggs doesn't seem like a good thing to do. all the best on your journey, Wendy On 10 Mar 2007, at 10:05, emohippie4peace wrote: > Hello everybody, I'm new to this group and I want to say hi to > everyone here. Guest guest
Going vegan does make a lot of sense and I am very close to being one. I stopped using cow's milk over two years ago, I now use soy and rice milk, I'm glad to have more support in the veggie world, I live around beef ranchers at the moment so having any kind of support helps a lot. I have been trying to be vegan for about two years now, it's hard because vegan food is expensive and hard to get where I live, right now the only person in person that is supporting me is my mom. So if anyone wants to IM/email me feel free to do so. vegan-network , Wendy Kershaw <wendy.kershaw wrote: > > Hi Emo, > > go on just do it, go vegan, it makes so much sense, and is far easier > than you think, if you have any cravings they soon go. > > Have you tried listening to the vegan freak pod cast ? it's really > good, informative and funny. Guest guest
well...being vegan doesn't have to be expensive... stay away from the processed vegan foods if price is an issue.... veggies and fruit are generally cheap and readily available, right? >emohippie4peace <emohippie4peace >Mar 15, 2007 12:15 AM >vegan-network >Re: [100% veg*n ] Newbie > >Going vegan does make a lot of sense and I am very close to being one. >I stopped using cow's milk over two years ago, I now use soy and rice >milk, I'm glad to have more support in the veggie world, I live around >beef ranchers at the moment so having any kind of support helps a lot. >I have been trying to be vegan for about two years now, it's hard >because vegan food is expensive and hard to get where I live, right >now the only person in person that is supporting me is my mom. Guest guest
actually fruits and veggies aren't readily available(in the winter anyway), in the summer they are better and more available, but still a bit pricey for me right now. I live around beef ranchers, the only crops that are cheap in the summer are onions, potatoes and corn(corn and my insides don't get along), so there isn't much here, I want to move back to the city someday. vegan-network , fraggle <EBbrewpunx wrote: > > well...being vegan doesn't have to be expensive... > stay away from the processed vegan foods if price is an issue.... > veggies and fruit are generally cheap and readily available, right? > > > > >emohippie4peace <emohippie4peace > >Mar 15, 2007 12:15 AM > >vegan-network > >Re: [100% veg*n ] Newbie > > > >Going vegan does make a lot of sense and I am very close to being one. > >I stopped using cow's milk over two years ago, I now use soy and rice > >milk, I'm glad to have more support in the veggie world, I live around > >beef ranchers at the moment so having any kind of support helps a lot. > >I have been trying to be vegan for about two years now, it's hard > >because vegan food is expensive and hard to get where I live, right > >now the only person in person that is supporting me is my mom. Guest guest
Maybe you could plant a small garden this year--depending on where you live, you may be able to get started already! Lettuces, greens, beans, broccoli are all easy to grow and are super nutritious. Good luck! Guest guest
Where are you? There are possibly active vegan groups where you live to give you support. emohippie4peace wrote: > Hello everybody, I'm new to this group and I want to say hi to > everyone here.
