Guest guest
Thank you, Fraggle! Well, here in Brazil it's easy to be a vegan consumer. I live next to 2 vegan restaurants that are very good. There are a lot of good products too, especially from a company called " Superbom " , that makes delicious stuff with " glútem " (I don't know this word in Eglish). Now I'm curious about the " vegan cheese " and the " vegan white chocolate " the members talked about. I'm also wating for a vegan ice- cream. We don't have these items in Brazil yet. Unfortunally, sometimes, people disrespect my way of life, making jokes or trying to change my mind. But they are exceptions. I supose it happens to anyone that is a little diferent. Among the brazilians adolescents, the number of vegetarians has increased. It makes me happy, because it shows that people are starting to think about what they eat. Otherwise, I don't know any brazilian vegan yet. I hope I can add to the discussions and I'm happy that I was well received. Cheers, Helena. vegan-network , EBbrewpunx@c... wrote: > > welcome helena.. > hope you can add to the discussion and give us lotsa good info.... > how is it being vegan in brazil? > > cheers > fraggle > > " helena_carioca <helena_carioca> " <helena_carioca> wrote: > > >Hi, everybody! > > > >My name is Helena and I don't eat any meat for over 10 years. Guest guest
sounds nice my knowledge of that large south american country is pretty minimal..umm..you just elected a new president who scares the heck out of the american administration, naked people on the beach in rio, and burning amazonia..after that, it gets fuzzy i assume you mean gluten., fake meat, wheat gluten. as for vegan cheese, there are quite a few companies that make them up here in the northern hemisphere, in europe and america, but, since i don't like cheese, be it vegan er not, i really can't help you.. as for vegan ice creams...even more of a variety, from soy creams to tofutti to oat creams and sorbets..many many different styles and brands, at least here in the San Francisco Bay Area USA be well cheers fraggle " helena_carioca <helena_carioca " <helena_carioca wrote: >Thank you, Fraggle! > >Well, here in Brazil it's easy to be a vegan consumer. Guest guest
Faggle, you're funny! " naked people on the beach in rio " : it's very hot here... " president who scares the heck out of the american administration " : he's the best president, ever! People call him " Lula peace and love " . Maybe one day I'll go to San Francisco and eat ice-cream, who knows? Let me say what your city reminds me: A song - " I left my heart in San Francisco... " -, beachs, gay parade, a good vegan restaurant that doesn't cook the food (I dream about the day I'll eat there). Well, not too much. Be well too, Helena. vegan-network , EBbrewpunx@c... wrote: > sounds nice > > my knowledge of that large south american country is pretty minimal..umm..you just elected a new president who scares the heck out of the american administration, naked people on the beach in rio, and burning amazonia..after that, it gets fuzzy > > i assume you mean gluten., fake meat, wheat gluten. > as for vegan cheese, there are quite a few companies that make them up here in the northern hemisphere, in europe and america, but, since i don't like cheese, be it vegan er not, i really can't help you.. > as for vegan ice creams...even more of a variety, from soy creams to tofutti to oat creams and sorbets..many many different styles and brands, at least here in the San Francisco Bay Area USA > be well > cheers > fraggle
Guest guest
Hi Helena, Hi Fraggle, I also just signed up for the vegan-network. I'm a vegan since 2001, too. I imagine, it's a little easier to be a vegan here in Germany than it is in Brasil. Even though, people's reactions to my lifestyle are about the same as you told about the people in Brasil, Helena. Where in the bay area are you from, Fraggle? I used to live in Santa Clara as an exchange student, then I moved down to Escondido (San Diego). What's the weather like over there at the moment. Here, it's fucking freezin'. It'd be nice to hear of you Ben***
Guest guest
Hi Ben. It's good to know vegans all around the world! We are increasing! So, do you have vegan friends in Germany? By the way, I think you have a beautiful language (althought I just know how to say " ich lieb dich " or something like that). " Here, it's fucking freezin " => and here, it's fucking hot! Abraços, Helena. vegan-network , " xbennyx2003 <xbennyx2003> " <xbennyx2003> wrote: > Hi Helena, Hi Fraggle, > > > I also just signed up for the vegan-network. Guest guest
Hi Helena, my vegan friends here in Germany are increasing almost every month, too. There are more and more animal rights-groups coming up. My appartment mate is a vegan, my girlfriend and lots of her friends are too. My parents even became vegan now, but only for the sake of health. Where exactly in Brasil do you live? It must be a great country, I wanna go there someday. Do you know Blumenau at the east coast? My father once got a job offered there, but unfortunately he didn't accept it. Lass von dir hören Ben > Hi Ben. > > It's good to know vegans all around the world!
