Guest guest
Despite the fact that Alaskans have twice voted to ban the practice of aerial killing of wolves, the Alaska Board of Game, appointed by Governor Frank Murkowski, last week approved permits that will allow people to shoot wolves from aircraft. Under the plan, hunters and trappers can shoot wolves either directly from planes or helicopters, or after chasing the animals to the point of exhaustion and then landing the aircraft to kill them on the ground. The areas approved for aerial wolf control include almost two thousand square miles in interior Alaska where all the wolves in that area will be eliminated. Learn more and sign a petition stating your opposition to this plan.
