As with most new trends, Southern California leads the way. Kick over the wall 'cause government's to fall How can you refuse it? Guest guest
Yes, but with such loose organic labeling standards how can we be sure something is truly organic? Organic certifiers are encouraged to qualify someone because they get paid based on approving something as organic, the grower is encouraged to say something is organic because organic produce tends to get a much better price, and the USDA is becoming more open to organics, not because of ethical concerns, but because of the money. The love of the money, rather than the ethical motives is a major problem with organic labeling these days. , fraggle <EBbrewpunx@e...> wrote: > http://www.ocmetro.com/metro112504/business112504.html > Going Organic > Food produced without pesticides and chemical fertilizers has become a $10-billion-a-year industry, and organic clothing is taking off, as well, pushed by top designers and Hollywood celebrities.
