Time is running out...Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of this fantastic

event!

Join Mayor Gavin Newsom and host Julia Butterfly Hill in a celebration of San

Francisco being the most veg-friendly city in North America (we trumped New York

and Toronto!) as voted by thousands of VegNews readers.

We invite you to join us in recognizing the city's efforts and dedication to the

vegetarian movement at San Francisco's VegNews Awards Ceremony, to be held at

Millennium Restaurant on Wednesday February 9, 2005 from 5:30pm until 7:30pm.

The ceremony will be presided over by VegNews Publisher Joseph Connelly and

Circle of Life Founder Julia Butterfly Hill. We are happy to announce that Mayor

Gavin Newsom will be present to accept the award on behalf of the city. Guests

will be treated to delicious organic hors d'oeuvres, ample wine and champagne,

desserts, surprise favors, and an evening of fun and entertainment.

The following is a list of local businesses and people that will be honored, as

well as those accepting the awards on their behalf:

Favorite Veg Restaurant, Millennium Restaurant (Larry & Ann Wheat)

Favorite Veg Chef, Eric Tucker

Favorite Health Food Store, Rainbow Grocery

Favorite Farmer's Market, Ferry Plaza (Christine Farren of CUESA)

Favorite Veg Brunch, Herbivore (Adham Nasser)

Favorite Soy Yogurt, Whole Soy (Ted Norquist)

Favorite Veg City, San Francisco (Mayor Gavin Newsom)

Don't miss out on this exciting evening of food, wine & good ole organic fun!

Tickets are very limited, so call Erica or Paula at 415.345.3900 x 11 today to

Kick over the wall 'cause government's to fall

How can you refuse it?

Let fury have the hour, anger can be power
