Hey, Tara,

Welcome! Sarah Kramer is the coolest vegan on earth. If you want to meet

(virtually) tons of other veg*ans, check out her forum at www.govegan.net.

[100% veg*n ] New here Thank you for letting me join your wonderful

group

Thank you so much for letting me join your group. I live in East

Windsor, New Jersey and have been vegetarian for a couple of years

being good but it is hard these days I find. My friends make fun of

me for being the way I am and they make it hard on me. I still

bring the vegan food to our food parties and some people try it and

love it but my friends wont even give it a chance. They really hurt

my feelings but I have really been trying to make the change to

Vegan and I am tying not to let them get to me. I bought this

wonderful book by Sarah Kramer that has some wonderful recipes and

other things in it. She is amazing. I switched over for health

reasons but I have always felt wrong eating animals and seeing them

suffer so I can go to the store and eat something. I used to work

for Tyson Foods cause my dad worked there and he got me a job but I

can remember being younger and seeing a truck filled with live

chickens in tiny cages and one fell off the truck and died. That

guy didn't even stop or nothing cause it happens all the time. That

chicken didn't deserve to have that happen to him. I would like to

do what I feel is right but I need some support since nobody else

around me feels the same way. That is why when I saw your group I

knew I just had to join. I hope we can chat and swamp recipes and

just become friends. Oh and also what is a good vegan cheese

because cheese is my downfall and I tried one cheese and it just

tasted so bad that I almost got sick. I value any opinions you may

have. Thank you and I hope to here from you all soon.

Ya know, I had a friend who worked for Tyson, and he won't TOUCH anything with

chicken in it. I sympathize with getting teased, I hear it sometimes. But they

shut it when I tell them I have nothing against human sacrifice! Welcome to

the group!
