Guest guest
I need healthy vegan cookbook recommendations. I also need help with what kind of healthy food choices I should make. I made a 10-month commitment to being a raw vegan. In January, I'm going to make a similar commitment to being a vegan, but a healthy vegan. I mean French fries cooked in some kind of vegetable oil would be considered vegan right? But I won't be eating that kind of food. I am not even going to eat things like white bread and white rice. I'm not sure of all my choices. I was thinking about adding things like vegetable soup, oatmeal, whole grain bread, brown rice, and some kind of healthy cereal with almond milk. Of course keeping up many of the raw vegan foods going too. Please tell me the healthy vegan staples outside of the obvious fruits and veggies, such as, whole grain bread, brown rice, healthy cereal etc. Please specify what kinds and/or brands are your favorites, such as Whole Foods whole grain bread, Ezekiel whole grain bread, Grapenuts, bulk cereal grains, or WHAT? If things like Ezekiel whole grain bread and/or Grapenuts are bad please explain why? Also I understand that some foods should be cooked to digest or release vitamins or something. Which ones and why? Please edumacate ME! ;-) Thank you for helping me with my new vegan journey coming up! Minnie
