Vegetarian Cooking Class—Burgers and Backyard Bites

First Unitarian Church of Oakland (Wheelchair accessible)

Oakland

Join the Compassionate Cooks’ Vegetarian Cooking Class that features mostly

local, in-season, organic ingredients. We will demonstrate five delicious,

nutritious dishes, including Falafel Burgers, Cashew Nut Burgers, Classic Caesar

Salad, Spicy Sweet Potato Salad, Lemon Bars with Shortbread Crust. We feature

uncomplicated recipes, debunk myths regarding plant-based eating, eat yummy food

samples, and have a lot of fun.

 

Register in advance online or by phone. $45 (in advance), plus $5 food/materials

fee (due on day of class). Fees include demonstration, food samples, copies of

recipes, coupons for restaurants and local groceries, resources and much more.
