Guest guest
Yes, we really need vitamin B12. It's essential. There are vegan B12 supplements available. If you're a vegan, you need to be sure you take a B12 supplement. If you take a good supplement, your B12 level should be fine. Guest guest
I have found that the best source for B12 other than a supplement pill is nutritional yeast. I make sauces and all kinds of stuff with it. I sprinkle it on pasta kind of like parmesan cheese and my favorite is to sprinkle it all over my popcorn. YUM…… Tricia _____ vegan-network [vegan-network ] On Behalf Of gnysmagic Friday, May 16, 2008 10:26 PM vegan-network [100% veg*n ] vit b12, do we really need it??? hello everyone, i have a problem, pls enlighten mo on vit B12. they say that our body needs vit B12 and how does a vegan like us have it? do we really need it? from the internet, i read that: Vegetarians who do not eat meat or dairy products are at risk for low vitamin B-12 usually about 2 years after they become vegetarians. However, most people who have low vitamin B-12 are not strict vegetarians. Most people with low vitamin B-12 levels have trouble absorbing vitamin B-12 from their stomach or small intestines. i really need some explanation. thanks in advance. gny
