Hartford, CT, February 20, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A little known fact

about the new book, Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook by Alisa

Fleming, is that it contains original recipes from the author of My

Sweet Vegan, Hannah Kaminsky. Kaminsky is known for developing

decadent and creative desserts without dairy and eggs. Her assistance

was requested in Go Dairy Free to perfect recipes for traditional

dairy-based dessert favorites, such as Vanilla " Ice Cream " and Bakery-

Style Chocolate Chip Cookies, and to come up with some new concepts

like Pumpkin " Cheesecake " and Coco-Nog (a vegan and soy-free eggnog

alternative).

To share in the success of this new release, Hannah Kaminsky is

giving away two copies of Go Dairy Free: The Guide and Cookbook on

her blog, Bittersweet (http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com). The

giveaway is open to viewers around the globe, and the winners will be

selected on February 22nd from among those who comment on the

giveaway blog post.

Go Dairy Free the guide and cookbook is the first of its kind,

merging in depth information on how to successfully live dairy-free

with roughly 225 recipes. The first half of the guide includes

substantial health information, shopping lists, calcium guides,

answers to important FAQ's, and four chapters dedicated to creating,

using, and purchasing dairy substitutes. In addition to Kaminsky's

contributions, the recipes cover meal helpers (e.g.,

Condensed " Cream " of Mushroom Soup and Sweetened Condensed Milk

Alternatives), staples (e.g., Stovetop Macaroni and " Cheese " and

Enchiladas), and indulgences (e.g., Simply Wonderful White Birthday

Cake with Fudgy Chocolate Frosting).

Go Dairy Free was created for those who live with milk allergies,

lactose intolerance, or who must follow a casein-free diet, but it is

also well-suited to anyone who is seeking to reduce or eliminate

dairy from their diet for general health, disease prevention, and/or

weight loss. This whole foods-based book is egg allergy-friendly,

vegan-friendly, and it caters to multiple food allergies (soy,

gluten, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts) with an easy to read food allergy

index.
