Guest guest
If you're in the Washington, DC, area, there are several pizza places that offer either Teese or Follow Your Heart. You can find out which at http://www.vegdc.com/restaurants.php?type=pizza Vegdc.com also lists vegetarian and veg-friendly restaurants in the area. If you didn't like the soy or rice cheese you found here in Omaha or wherever you live, don't give up on vegan cheeses. There's actually more variety to soy cheeses than Follow Your Heart, Galaxy Foods, and Teese. Check out the mail-order cheeses you can get at Vegan Essentials. If you live in a larger city, you may be able to waltz into your local natural foods store and buy some of the shelf. Here in Omaha, you can already find vegan pizza at locally-owned Night Flight Pizza. In fact, they'll deliver until 3 a.m.!I haven't found a Whole Foods direct source, but blogs are buzzing WF will be offering vegan pizza with Teese cheese and vegan sausage crumbles!Does Whole Foods Love Vegans? The Whole Foods CEO, John Mackey, is allegedly a vegan which made a lot of vegans hopeful about the future of Whole Foods. Instead, Mackey introduced meat to the natural foods store and enthusiastically campaigned for the selling of animal bodies who were raised under some reform. Additionally, while Whole Foods does stock a number of vegan options, we see little to no effort to veganize humdrum products like fruit bars or baked goods which contain milk and/or eggs. Anti-vegan actions like these have drawn the attention of animal rights activist like Gary Francione and organizations like Friends of Animals who are not happy with Mackey's humane meat promotion.I'm going on a tangent, I know, from an article about vegan pizza but I feel I should buffer any feelings that Whole Foods is growing a big heart for vegans because they introduce some pizza to their stores. Whole Foods is the Wal-Mart of natural foods stores, don't forget it.Where can I get it?Alright already, who can find Teese vegan pizza at their local Whole Foods?
