Guest guest
Finding vegan versions of familiar products can be fairly easy but finding specialties among those products proves to be even more restrictive. So it's easy to spot vegan sneakers or boots, but tap dancing shoes? On the same page, there's a wide variety of vegan skin care products, but if your skin has been damaged by chemotherapy or other forms of radiation, why should you have to purchase mainstream liquid cow lotions? The Wai Hope organic skin care company allowed me to sample two vegan lotions from their line of skin care products: The product line is derived from the antioxidant-based, organic WAI HOPE " Living Water " Restructured Water. The WAI Restructure Water is made from rare ingredients, including goji berries, mangosteen, acai berries, pomegranates, noni, emperor's white tea, and its exclusive use (patent pending) of a miraculous red Fijian seaweed known as Callophycus Serratus, a potent Bromophycollide. WAI Hope Organic Skincare is the first skin care company to utilize this potent seaweed, which is now being studied by an outside source and the National Institute of Health for its ability to kill cancer cells, bacteria, and the HIV virus. WAI Hope Organic is soothing, revitalizing, and calming to challenged, endangered and ravaged skin cells which have become weakened by UVB/UVA, cancer, chemotherapy, radiation therapy or long-term use of medications. Wai Hope specializes in Body Dry Skin Combination-Normal skin Oily Skin Acneic Specifically challenged skin Often moisturizers leave a thick layer of oil on the skin to lock in moisture. This is especially true with cheaper moisturizers with frightening ingredients that actually remove natural oils to replace with cow enzymes and who-knows-what. This is not the case with the Daybreak Ultra Replenishing Moisturizer which brought moisture to the skin but didn't leave my hands slippery. On the other hand, being specialized means having specialized ingredients and a specialized price. A 1 oz. bottle of Ubuntu Skin Emulsion will cost you $40 but for this price you get a naturally fragrant skin emulsion in a convenient push-down dispensing bottle. Currently, Wai Hope is offering 15% off for new customers. Overall, I really liked the specialization of Wai Hope products but I would have liked to see some generic products at lower prices. While I may want to drop $40 or more to treat a specific skin condition, I may also want to buy a non-specialized skin care with natural but basic ingredients. I give Wai Hope Day Break Ultra Replenishing Moisturizer 4/5 stars. Comments Alice Louise Karow says: I love the Hope skincare products - have been using them for almost a decade. My skin drinks them up and they don't make me sneeze! The new line including seaweed extract is really nice - I'm using Tea L Sea hand lotion right now! Even though Vinny started this company to help chemotherapy victims, these are the best all around " pure and clean " skin care products I've ever found. Great to see they're popular beyond the locals! Alice Louise Karow San Diego Food Examiner
