Guest guest
Hey all, I'm Jamie Snyder and a vegan and very active in the animal rights community and I wanted to invite you and the others to a meeting I'm hosting. I am a council member for the Green Party of Orange County July's General Meeting will highlight California Green Party's Platform on Ethical Treatment of Animals, as we discuss Pet Abuse, Abandonment and Terminations. Green Party rejects beliefs which place humans at the center of creation, and actions which inflict violence upon other creatures. We endorse an ethic of bio-diversity and continuity of species, which affirms interests of animals, and enhances the value of all individual life. Our keynote speaker is Senator and Majority Leader Dean Florez and will join OC Greens to discuss these disturbing trends. California's State Senate recently approved the " Pet Responsibility Act " , sponsored by Senator Florez, to reduce the need for pet terminations. SB 250, so numbered to represent $250 million spent annually to kill half a million unwanted pets, requires pet owners to spay or neuter dogs or free range cats, or obtain a license to keep an unaltered animal. Our other speakers will be Charlotte Lorraine Cresse from OC People for Animals (OCPA) will also speak on this issue. Representatives of animal shelters will also attend this meeting. As an avid vegan and huge animal rights activist I would love for all you animal lovers to come support the cause. I put on this meeting in hopes to educate the public about this horrible trend. The animals need a voice. Our meeting is going to be held on July 5th at 2:00pm at Irvine Ranch Water District Headquarters, 15600 Sand Canyon Ave. in the City of Irvine (about half-way between the 5 and 405 freeways) I hope to see you there. If you need any other info I can be reached at jamierose82 Thanks so much, Jamie Rose Snyder (Friend of the animals)
