Guest guest
It depends on the wine and it depends upon the beer what foods you pair up with which. I'm a big wine buff and go to a lot of wine tastings, and know what a $30 bottle of wine tastes like. Eventually my palette will be refined enough to know a $40, $50...et cetera. But in any event...you'd need someone who knows wine, has not been vegan their whole life, and knows the equivalent of what vegan pairings would be appropriate. I've been wanting some vegan wine tastings for ages, and wish so many vegans in my area weren't so...how do I put it? " Straight edge " . Guest guest
i'm talking general pairing, not individual pairing and, each person's ideas of what is good with what wines is different as i said, i deal with a lot of beer events, and have to organize in one function or another many of them. so, looking for something that i could deal with in events, and for myself right now i do pita and hummus, bread and hummus, nuts and olives been thinking maybe a water cracker and sundried tomato pesto type tapenade or something but..the main thing you see EVERYWHERE, be it beer or wine tasting, is bread and cheese, or cheese and crackers, or sliced preserved flesh and bread.... trying to come up with something that is ready, easy, finger food, etc and so on and so on fraggle Blue Rose Aug 13, 2009 1:07 PM vegan-network Re: [100% veg*n ] cheese and wine etc and so forth It depends on the wine and it depends upon the beer what foods you pair up with which.
