Guest guest Posted January 8, 2002 Report Share Posted January 8, 2002 Vegetarian Bean Chowder 3/4 cup chopped onion 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 can (16 ounces) B & M® Brick Oven Baked Beans, vegetarian flavor 1 can (16 ounces) whole tomatoes 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 cup diced raw potato 1/2 cup chopped green pepper 1/2 cup water In a 2-quart saucepan, hat oil: add onion and sauté until soft. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover ad simmer for 10 to 13 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Microwave Directions: In a 21/2- quart microwave-safe dish, combine onion, oil, potato and water. Microwave, covered, on HIGH 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients.
