It's made with bananas and flavored with cardamom and nutmeg. Cut into decorative shapes to serve for a party. Preparation time does not include cooling time. Click " View all recipe products " to see all recipe products. 3 Bananas, medium, very ripe, peeled and mashed 1 cup(s) Sugar 1/2 teaspoon(s) Nutmeg, ground 1 teaspoon(s) Cardamom, ground 1 tablespoon(s) Pure Ghee -- Instructions Heat ghee in a heavy pan. Add bananas and cook over low heat, stirring to prevent the mixture from sticking. Cook for 10 minutes, or until bananas have browned and resemble soft toffee. Add more ghee as neccessary. Add sugar and continue stirring until dissolved. Add nutmeg and cardamom; remove from heat. Spread halwa into a deep, large plate.
