Guest guest Posted January 12, 2002 Report Share Posted January 12, 2002 Chocolaty Raspberry Crumb Bars 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened 2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed1/4 teaspoon salt2 cups (12 oz. package) NESTLÉ ® TOLL HOUSE ® Semi-Sweet ChocolateMorsels, divided1 can (14 oz.) NESTLÉ ® Carnation ® Sweetened Condensed Milk1/2 cup chopped nuts, (optional)1/3 cup seedless raspberry jamPREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan. BEAT butter inlarge mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in flour, sugar and salt untilcrumbly. With floured fingers, press 1 3/4 cups crumb mixture onto bottomof prepared baking pan; reserve remaining mixture. Bake for 10 to 12minutes or until edges are golden brown. COMBINE 1-cup morsels andsweetened condensed milk in small, heavy-duty saucepan. Warm over lowheat, stirring until smooth. Spread over hot crust. STIR nuts intoreserved crumb mixture; sprinkle over chocolate filling. Drop teaspoonfulsof raspberry jam over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with remaining morsels.
