Guest guest
BASIC TEMPEH 1/3 cup soy sauce 2/3 cup water 1 garlic clove, mashed or pressed 1/2 inch ginger root, grated or pressed sunflower or olive oil tempeh slices or patties or cubes or.....! - Combine soy sauce, water, garlic and ginger in a cup or jar. - Heat enough oil to lightly cover bottom of skillet. - When hot add tempeh. - When tempeh is golden brown, turn over in skillet until second side becomes golden brown, add a little more oil if necessary (practice makes perfect with the technique of just how much oil without using too much, the heat of the pan, the size of the pan and the quantity of tempeh being sauteed). - Just when second side is browned, pour a small amount of liquid around tempeh patties while flame is on medium high. Let sizzle then turn flame down slightly, until broth evaporates. - Turn tempeh over and repeat with other side. - This is what gives the tempeh a little flavor. It should give it a lightly glazed and brown color with mild flavor. - Tempeh is the best! Home made tempeh is even " bester " . _______________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
