Guest guest Posted January 15, 2002 Report Share Posted January 15, 2002 Simple Tofu Loaf 2 c. Oats (quick, cooking) 1 lb Tofu (mashed) 1 c. Onion (chopped fine) 1/2 c. Parsley (fresh, chopped fine) 1/2 c. Tomato Sauce 1/3 c. Liquid Aminos (or Soy Sauce) 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder Saute the onions in a little water or oil until tender. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. If the tofu is a dryer type of tofu, you may want to add 2-3 tablespoons of water to give the loaf more moisture. Press into a sprayed loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees F for about 1 hour. Serve with tomato sauce or gravy. Variation: After baking, let cool 10-15 minutes, then remove the loaf from the pan. Garnish with parsley and tomato slices or more tomato sauce. You can also slice and use as a sandwich filling Language is an expression of thought.
