Guest guest Posted January 15, 2002 Report Share Posted January 15, 2002 Simple Savory Lima Beans 2 c. Lima Beans (dry) 1 1/2 Tbs. Oil 1 c. Onion (chopped) 1 1/2 tsp. Salt 3 tsp. Basil (powder) 6 c. Water Boil the Lima Beans for 5 minutes in enough water to cover them. Pour out the water (this helps prevent possible stomach discomforts from the beans) and add the 6 cups of water. Boil for 5 minutes again. Cover the beans and let stand off the heat for 1 hour. Add the oil, onion, basil, and salt and ocok for about 1 hour until the beans are soft. While cooking, add water as needed. Enjoy! Language is an expression of thought.
