Guest guest Posted January 16, 2002 Report Share Posted January 16, 2002 Lentils with Garlic & Tomatos 4 Tbsp. Olive Oil 5 Garlic cloves(crushed) 2 c. Tomatos (canned or fresh) 1 c Lentils (dried) 1 tsp. Salt 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice 3 1/2 c. Water Heat the oil in a heavy, wide 2 1/2 quart pot over a medium flame. When hot, put in the garlic. Stir and fry until the garlic browns lightly. Put in the lentils, tomatoes, and water. Bring to a boil. Cover, lower heat and simmer gently until cooked (about 1/2 hour).
