Guest guest
Lo Mein " Chicken " - (Chinese) 1 lb Tofu(firm, or 1 can Worthington Fry Chik) 2 cloves of Garlic (crushed) 3 1/2 c. Water 1 Vegetable Bouillon Cube (Vegex works nice) 2 Tbs. Liquid Aminos(or soy sauce) 1 c. Broccoli (chopped) 1 c Carrots (sliced thin) 1 can Water Chestnuts 8 oz. Angel Hair Pasta (broken into thirds) In a large skillet, bring water to boil with the bouillon cub (make sure the cube dissolves) and liquid aminos. Add the pasta, garlic, and tofu or Fri-Chick. Stir occasionally. Once the pasta is soft, but not totally cooked, place the vegetables on top of the pasta and let them steam with the lid on for 2-3 minutes. Then stir occasionally until all is cooked to the desired tenderness and the water is absorbed. Serve with rice or as its own dish. Note: In place of fresh vegetables, you can use one package of frozen broccoli, carrots & water chestnuts.
