Guest guest
Jewish Charoset 2 c. Pecans (or walnuts) 5 medium Apples (tart apples work best) 2-3 tsp. Cinnamon 2 Tbs. Honey (optional) 1/2 c. Grape Juice Place the nuts in a food processor fitted with a steel blade attachment. Grind them to a coarse meal by turning the processor on and off in 5-second pulses. Place ground nuts in a medium size bowl. Core the apples but don't peel them. Cut them into quarters, than eights. Process in three batches into very small pices. If done in less then three, the apples will be mush and very large pieces which will not work for this receipe. Add the shredded apple to the ground nuts. Add cinnamon, honey (optional) and grape juice. Mix well and taste to see if anything needs adjusting. Cover tightly and refrigerate until serving. Note: If you don't have a food processor, cut apples and nuts into small pieces. Chop a lot. Add remaining ingredients. This will take up to 30 minutes for preparation. Enjoy!
