Guest guest
Non62's Vegetarian Tofu Italiano 1 block firm or extra firm tofu 1 medium onion 1/2 green pepper 1/2 red pepper 1-2 cups of mushrooms 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Braggs Liquid Aminos Olive Oil Rinse Tofu and squeeze out excess water. Slice Tofu into triangles (Or whatever you want). Again, I like to pan or deep fry my tofu, but you can bake it just as well. Cook til golden brown. Slice onions, peppers and mushrooms the way you would for stir fry. Pour Olive oil in a pan, enough to coat bottom, and add oregano. Let oregano cook for a minute or so. Then add onions, peppers and mushrooms and saute to desired tenderness. Season with pepper and Braggs (I use Braggs Liquid Aminos instead of table salt, but table salt works too.) Lay cooked tofu in a casserole dish or some cute platter, then pour peppers, onions and mushrooms over the top. As always, use your own taste and judgement. I'm from the old school, so it's hard for me to say 'how much'. But, try it.Mama mia, that's a spicy tofu! Language is an expression of thought.
