Guest guest
Rice Krispies Treats This traditional American treat couldn't be easier to make. I know the recipe is practically on the back of every Rice Krispies box (where I got it from), but I just wanted to have it in my files. You could experiment and combine the cereal with various add ins (dried fruit, chocolate chips, shredded coconuts, nuts). 3 tablespoons margarine 10 ounces marshmallows 6 cups Rice krispies¨ Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add rice krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cut into 2 x 2 inch squares when cool. As a variation, you can add chocolate chips to the mixture.
