Guest guest Posted February 15, 2002 Report Share Posted February 15, 2002 SOUR CREAM BUTTER POUND CAKE 2 sticks butter 6 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/4 teaspoon soda 3 cups sugar 1 8 oz. carton sour cream or 1 cup 3 cups cake flour Sift flour and measure. Sift flour 2 more times with soda. Set aside. Cream butter and add sugar slowly, beating constantly to cream well. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and add flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time beating well and constantly. Stir in vanilla and pour batter into well greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake 1 and 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Set stand 5 minutes before removing from pan. Language is an expression of thought.
