Guest guest Posted February 15, 2002 Report Share Posted February 15, 2002 Heavenly Macaroons From Sweet & Natural 2 1/2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut 1/3 cup whole wheat pastry flour 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 1/4 cup brown rice syrup 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 1 teaspoon almond extract 1/3 to 1/2 cup water 1. Preheat the oven to 350° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment or brush with oil. 2. Mix dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk wet ingredients together, then add to dry and mix well. With moistened fingers, squeeze 1 1/2-inch balls of " dough. " 3. Transfer to baking sheet and bake until golden, about 20 minutes. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
