Cinnamon-Apple Oatmeal

Serves: 2 servings

 

Measures Translation Table

 

Ingredients:

1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

1 1/4 cups cold water

1/2 cup apple juice

2 Tbsp. Chopped dried apples

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Tiny pinch of salt

2 Tbsp. Of GeniSoy® Ultra-XT Protein Powder

Flavoring options:

Sweetener of your choice

2 tsp. organic flax oil

2 Tbsp. Chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans, raw or lightly pan toasted

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Combine all the ingredients, except the protein powder and flavoring

options, in a medium saucepan

2. Bring to a boil

3. Cover and reduce the heat to low

4. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring once or twice

5. Remove from the heat, add the protein powder, cover

6. Let sit for 2 to 5 minutes

7. Stir in the sweetener and flax oil, if using

8. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. nuts over each serving if desired
