Guest guest Posted February 28, 2002 Report Share Posted February 28, 2002 APPLE RAISIN COBBLER FILLING: 3 sm. apples, pared, cored and sliced 2 tbsp. raisins 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. granulated brown sugar 2 tsp. cornstarch Dash of lemon juice CRUNCHY TOPPING: 3/4 oz. corn flake crumbs 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tbsp. and 1 tsp. shredded coconut 1 tbsp. and 1 tsp. margarine 2 tsp. granulated brown sugar 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon Dash of ground nutmeg To prepare filling: Combine filling ingredients in a 1 quart casserole. Cover and bake at 375 degrees until mixture is slightly thickened, about 20 minutes. To prepare topping: Whilefilling is baking, prepare topping by combining remaining ingredients in small bowl and blending with a fork until mixture resembles coarse meal. Remove casserole from oven and sprinkle filling mixture evenly with topping. Return to oven and bake covered until crumbs are browned, about 15 minutes. Language is an expression of thought.
