Tip of the Day:

 

How to keep your lettuce crisp after washing it.Lettuce must be cold and dry to be crisp.

 

Before refrigerating, soak it in cold water to wash and hydrate it.

 

To dry it, use a salad spinner, or pat it dry between paper or cloth towels.

 

For the longest storage possible, place washed and dried lettuce in a resealable plastic bag, squeeze out as much air as you can, seal it and store it in the crisper drawer of the fridge.
