Guest guest
Strawberry Granita 1/2 cup very hot water (not boiling) 1/4 tsp. Splenda 1 cup coarse-cracked ice cubes 2 pints strawberries, stemmed, rinsed and quartered 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice (or more to taste) sliced fresh strawberries Combine hot water and Splenda in blender and process until splenda is dissolved. Add ice and blend until mixture is slushy. With blender running, gradually add strawberries and process until berries are pureed. Add lime juice. Taste and add more lime juice, if needed. Place mixture in 13 " x 9 " baking pan and freeze, using fork to stir slushy center into almost frozen edges every 20 minutes or so, until mixture is semi-frozen, about 1 1/2 hours. To serve, scoop granita into dessert bowls or wine glasses. Garnish with sliced strawberries Makes about 6 servings. Language is an expression of thought.
