Sauteed Cabbage With Peas

From Good Housekeeping

Ingredients

2 tablespoons margarine or butter

1 - medium onion, thinly sliced

1 small head savoy cabbage (about 2 pounds), cored and cut into

1/2-inch-thick slices, with tough ribs discarded

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

1/2 cup vegetable broth

1 package (10 ounces) frozen baby peas

1/4 cup chopped fresh dill

Preparation

1 In 12-inch skillet, melt margarine or butter over medium heat. Add onion

and cook, stirring often, until tender and golden, about 8 minutes.

2 Add cabbage, salt, sugar, and pepper, and cook until cabbage is

tender-crisp, about 5 minutes, stirring often. Stir in broth, and cook 10

minutes or until cabbage is tender. Spoon mixture into bowl; cover and

refrigerate up to 1 day.

3 To complete, return cabbage mixture to skillet; add frozen peas and dill.

Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, 12 to 15 minutes, until heated

through.
