1- ¾ cups flour

 

2 teaspoons baking powder

 

¼ teaspoon baking soda

 

½ teaspoon salt

 

1/3 cup shortening

 

2/3 cup sugar

 

2 eggs, well beaten

 

1 cup ripe bananas, mashed

 

Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Cream shortening with sugar. Add

eggs and beat. Add flour mixture and bananas alternately. Bake in a greased

9 x 5 x 3- inch loaf pan at 350 degrees for 60 minutes.
