Guest guest Posted April 2, 2002 Report Share Posted April 2, 2002 BAKED COCONUT CUSTARD Ingredients: 1/2 cup milk 1 cup coconut milk 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg 2 eggs 3 tablespoons sugar Preparation: Heat oven to 250 degreesF. Beat the eggs and stir in sugar and liquids, then nutmeg. Put into a greased pie dish and stand in a shallow pan with water. Put pan with dish into the oven. Bake till custard is set (about 45 minutes). Notes: Coconut " Milk " is extracted from the grated kernel of the mature or dry nut. This liquid is commonly used in foods. About 2 cups water should be used to wash the grated kernel of a medium sized coconut. Language is an expression of thought.
