Guest guest Posted April 2, 2002 Report Share Posted April 2, 2002 COCONUT MOUSSE Ingredients: 1 large coconut 1 large tin evaporated milk ½ oz. gelatine sugar to taste colouring Preparation: Remove the brown skin from the coconut and grate. Add ¼ pint water to coconut. Squeeze to express milk and strain. Add undiluted evaporated milk and sweeten to taste. Dissolve gelatine thoroughly in 2 tbsp. hot water and stir into milk mixture. Colour if desired. Pour into 1 large glass bowl or individual bowls, and refrigerate until set. Decorate with fruit or coloured grated coconut. Language is an expression of thought.
