Guest guest Posted April 8, 2002 Report Share Posted April 8, 2002 Pear Streusel Pie 1/2 c. flour 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 3/4 c. flaked coconut 1/3 c. butter, melted 4 lg. pears, peeled & cubed 1 unbaked 9 " pastry shell Combine flour, brown sugar & coconut, gradually add butter, stirring w/a fork. Set aside. Place 1 c. pears in pastry shell, top w/half of coconut mixture. Repeat layers w/remaining pears & coconut mixture. Cover pie w/aluminum foil, & bake at 450 F. for 10 mins. Remove foil, reduce oven temp. to 350 F., & bake 30 mins. or until pears are tender. Makes 1 9 " pie.
