Guest guest Posted April 8, 2002 Report Share Posted April 8, 2002 Chik Pattie Parmesan Course: Main Course Yields: 4 servings Ingredients 2 cups cooked pasta cooked pasta 1 10 ounce package Morningstar Farms Chik Patties 4 ounces shredded low fat Mozzarella Cheese 2 tablespoons parsley flakes 1/2 cup chopped onion 2 cloves minced garlic 1 tablespoon olive oil 12 ounces tomato paste 2 1/2 cups water 1 1/4 teaspoons dried oregano 1 1/4 teaspoons dried basil 1 teaspoon sugar Instructions To make sauce: Saute onion and garlic in oil until tender. Add tomato paste/water/oregano/sugar/ and pepper. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Heat chik patties according to package directions. Pour pasta into 2 quart baking dish which has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Add 1 cup sauce spreading evenly over top of pasta. Arrange Chik Patties in dish and top with 1/2 of shredded cheese. Cover with remaining sauce; sprinkle with remaining cheese and parsley flakes. Bake at 350 F for 10-15 minutes.
