Guest guest Posted April 8, 2002 Report Share Posted April 8, 2002 Veggie Pepper Steak Course: Main Course Serves: 6 People Ingredients 14 ounce can vegetable broth 2 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 cup diced tomatoes 1 green pepper-cut into strips 1 small onion--slivered 2 tablespoons cold water 1 tablespoon cornstarch 6 Morningstar Farms Better 'N Burger Beaters 3 cups cooked rice. Instructions Combine broth/ sugar/ lemon juice/ soy sauce/ garlic powder/ tomatoes/ and onion in medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. Make a paste of water and cornstarch .While stirring constantly add cornstarch mixture to hot mixture. Stir until thickened. Add green pepper strips 5 minutes before serving. Heat Burger Beaters according to package directions. Place cook patty on top of cook rice. Pour sauce over patties and rice.
