Guest guest
Turnips and Mustard greens 1 big bundle mustard greens 1 big bundle turnip greens with roots 1 1/2 tsps of liquid smoke 1 or 2 peices of Boca Vegetarian Sausges 1/4 cup oil Cut or strip greens off stems. Wash very well I always wash mine at least 5 times. Drain in colander and set aside in a large dish pan. Wash and peel turnip roots and cut into squares and set aside with greens. In a large pot pour oil in bottom heat and add the smoked turkey. Brown all over add 1 to 2 qts water depending on how large your pot is. Bring to boil. Add the greens and turnips a few at a time till they have wilted enough to put them all in the pot. Boil greens on med for at least one hour once again the longer you cook them the better they are. I simmer mine on low all afternoon. You may need to add water from time to time. Salt and pepper to taste. If you like greens you will love these! ===== Language is an expression of thought.
