Guest guest Posted April 9, 2002 Report Share Posted April 9, 2002 Peas and Butterbeans I measure by the quart zip locks I put my beans and peas up in. 1 bag Peas (can be purple hull, Crowder, blackeye's. Just your favorite's ) 1 bag butterbeans A chunk of Boca suasage or a few strips of veggie strips 3-4 tsp oil Fry the meat in the oil in bottom of large pot. Pour in the peas and butterbeans add enough water to cover beans and peas add some salt and pepper for cooking simmer on med to low for about 1 hour.
